Song I Never Heard?
Doc: I think I know music fairly well and people often send me links to songs to see if they can stump me. With your experience, I wondered if you would be willing to try to stump me with a song I don’t know. - Anonymous
Anon: Interesting question. Well, let’s see, do you know this song? Click here.

Re: Song I Never Heard?
Doc: You actually stumped me with that song. I never heard it in my life. Very catchy tune, even though I can’t understand most of the lyrics. - Anonymous
Anon: The song was written by two members of the band called Redbone. P.J. Proby’s cover was released in 1967 and reached #30 on the Billboard chart. Don’t worry about not understanding the lyrics. It’s not easy to figure out what he (or the other performers who covered the song) sings.
P.J. Proby is 76 years old and still performing. You can find out more about him by going to his website.
Finally, the lyrics by Redbone are here, and Redbone’s version of the song is here.
