Mainland
Feb 7, 2018
“I Found God” is the new single from the Brooklyn-based four-piece band, Mainland. It’s on their debut album out now via 300 Entertainment. The video features streets that look like Anywhere, USA and it shows everyday people running in earnest, searching with apparent gravity. It’s an evocative, visual rendering of the transcendence of love, and pairs saliently with an anthem of devotion. In the video, there are nine real couples of varying races, sexual orientations, and ages, offering a beautiful narrative of perseverance, and the unique salvation that often marks romantic love.
Front-man Jordan Topf explained in a statement accompanying the track that it was simply a natural progression. He explains, "I don't think our band has ever put out a song so inherently us. It's an evolution of what we've always been but at the same time completely new territory."
Mainland is made up of members Jordan Topf, Corey Mullee and Alex Pitta. They have previously released several EPs “Shiner” (2014), “Outcast” (2015), “Beggars” (2016) and “Permission Slip” (2016).
Mainland are currently touring the U.S. with The Mowglis before heading on the Real Good Life Tour 2018 until the end of March.
