"I'm In Love With My Life" is the new single from the Los Angeles quartet, Phases. Released via Warner Bros. Records, the song itself is the kind of blissful pop that makes listeners lose themselves for a little bit. The track's video was directed by award-winning film, TV, commercial and music video director Ethan Tobman.

"We wanted the songs to be fun, danceable and engaging. That's how the tracks started, and then in the studio the things we added had to maintain that level of excitement," Phases front-man Alex Greenwald explained.

Phases harnesses the talents of four musicians well-known on the L.A. scene, Z Berg (The Like), Jason Boesel (Rilo Kiley & Bright Eyes), Alex Greenwald (Phantom Planet) and songwriter Michael Runion. They first released an album as JJAMZ in 2012. They then returned to LA in 2013 after some touring to an uncertain future. Creatively confused and encountering some interpersonal turbulence, the fate of JJAMZ seemed doomed. Feeling like it was a hopeless case, Berg announced that she was moving to Nashville to pursue a folk music career and change of scenery. They now describe their sound as a marriage of dance and electronic, creating songs based on some experimental solo recordings by Greenwald in his Laurel Canyon living room using an outdated version of GarageBand.

"In my mind, we were not going to make another record and I just had to get out of LA," said Berg. "I felt truly displaced for the first time in a city I've always been in love with. So I said to the universe, 'If you want me to stay, give me a reason.'" The trio of gentlemen carried on in an attempt to reanimate what had felt like a creative dead end, and began writing material with both a fresh, lightened tone and a new, unassuming intention that they found reinvigorating, and perhaps subconsciously hoped the changes would convince their singer to stay.

With over a decade of intertwined pasts making music, Phases is a result of four close friends working tirelessly to make their dream a reality. The result is a timeless party album that captures the groups shared creativity and past of struggle and strife into excitement and pure joy.

Their full-length album is due out this summer.
