River House/Columbia Nashville's Jameson Rodgers will hit the road with his five show, headlining "Whiskey Train Tour," set to kick off August 31st in Starkville, MS. Rodgers will release the tour's titular song the following day, September 1st. "Whiskey Train" is produced by David Garcia and co-written by Rodgers, Smith Ahnquist, Will Bundy and Lynn Hutton. In addition to his newly announced tour dates, Rodgers will join Jordan Davis, Old Dominion, and Darius Rucker as support on dates this fall.
His own tour support includes Lauren Watkins, Greylan James, and John Morgan on select dates. Rodgers said, "This one is called the 'Whiskey Train Tour' because the tone of that song matches the tone of the shows. I’ve got some of my favorite artists/friends opening up these shows, with Lauren, Greylan and John. It’s going to be a blast, and I can’t wait to see everyone there." Tickets for the tour dates go on sale Friday, August 4th, with a pre-sale on August 2nd at 10a local times.
