In This Moment

Atlantic recording group In This Moment has announced details of their eagerly awaited new album. Black Widow is the name of the Los Angeles-based hard rock band's full-length release and it will be released on November 18th. It was produced by longtime collaborator and multiple GRAMMY(r) Award nominee, Kevin Churko (Five Finger Death Punch, Ozzy Osbourne).

"Black Widow is definitely the darker part of me," says singer Maria Brink. "This album is about finding the weakness inside and turning it into strength. It's about being reborn, setting yourself free and realizing the balance in everything - the dark and the light. We are very excited to be releasing this album through Atlantic Records," she adds, "who have put out some of the greatest and most revered albums of all time. I am so ready and excited for the launch of this album. I think people will embrace its diversity and hearing different sides of us that they haven't experienced yet."

In This Moment has been rightly acclaimed as one of the most combustible and emotionally invigorating bands in modern metal. Fueled by singer Maria Brink's powerful voice and provocative persona, the band has received steadily growing praise and commercial success for its idiosyncratic melding of raw power, sonic experimentation, and widescreen songcraft. Blood, In The Moment's fourth and most recent full-length release made a spectacular chart debut upon its 2012 arrival, entering the SoundScan/Billboard 200 at #15 while also coming in at #1 on the "Top Hard Rock Albums" ranking. The album proved a breakthrough, spawning such top 20 multi-format rock radio hits as "Whore," "Adrenalize," and the top 10 title track.

Known worldwide for their dramatic live performances, In This Moment will herald Black Widow with an epic US headline tour. Entitled "'The Noise' Presents In This Moment's 'Black Widow' Tour" gets underway on October 26th at Reno, Nevada's Knitting Factory and then travels through mid-December. Special guests will include Twelve Foot Ninja and Starset. As if that weren't enough, Saturday, October 25th, will see In This Moment appearing at Knotfest US 2014. This heavy music destination festival is hosted by the one and only Slipknot at San Bernardino, California's San Manuel Amphitheater & Campgrounds. Powered by Rockstar Energy Drink, Knotfest will see over 60 bands, including Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat, Killswitch Engage, Of Mice & Men, and many others performing on five stages, culminating each night with headline performances from Slipknot themselves.
