Pinegrove
Jan 28, 2020
Pinegrove formed in Montclair, NJ in 2010. The band's lineup is variable, with singer-songwriter Evan Stephens Hall and drummer Zack Levine representing its "core" members. For their latest effort, Marigold (the first to be released by Rough Trade), others that participated in the recording album include Josh Marre (guitar, dobro, lap steel), Sam Skinner (guitar, banjo), Nick Levine (guitar, pedal steel) and Nandi Rose Plunkett (keyboard, vocals).
Marigold is Pinegrove’s fourth studio album and was recorded at Amperland, the band's farmhouse recording studio in Kinderhook, NJ. In addition to “Phase,” check out "Moment,” “The Alarmist,” “No Drugs” and “Endless.”
“This is a lifelong project,” Zack Levin said about the band. “We’re always thinking about how to be better humans and humanists. It’s about how to keep going, and to respond to the world as it is right now.”
The band is set to hit the road including stops at Bonnaroo and Governors Ball, with some dates in Europe and U.K. in the spring.
