Maddie Medley

If you were able to attend the Elektra New Artist Virtual Showcase a while back, then you are already familiar with Maddie Medley. This young Nashville-based artist writes music about what it is like to enter adulthood and deciding how to define yourself.

Medley has a captivating voice and her Coming Of Age EP Pt. 1 give us the first hint of the depth of her songwriting. In addition to the title track, both “Buzz” and Edith” give a tantalizing taste of what this young talent has to offer.

“In my life there have been so many songs I’ve listened to when I’m in pain or feeling really low, and those songs have sort of devastated me but also made me feel so understood,” Medley said. “If I have one hope for my music, it’s that it provides some kind of healing for people, and maybe helps them to understand themselves better.”
