Futler Buckers!

I'm not a "name guy". I usually freeze when being asked to come up with monikers. So I always ask myself, WWMMD (What Would Michael Martin Do). No one does better names then him. So I'm pretty proud of "Futler Buckers" which was the name of Radio Now 100.9's team of Butler students who were in Houston for the NCAA and competing with sister station Hot's "Speaker Pimps" in a blogging and tourney coverage contest. (world's longest sentence)

Things That Drive Web Hits

Rush at Mix in San Antonio did a great photo blog for college students at South Padre Island to post their photos. Because that's what you do on Spring Break. You drink. You get drunk. You take off most of your clothes. You take photos. You post on Facebook. KDWB did a spin on it called "As Seen At Spring Break". Which could also be done as "As Seen At Prom" next month. Just throwin' it out there http://www.kdwb.com/pages/springbreak Hits are through the roof. Duh.

Speaking Of Proms

K-Hits in Tulsa is the latest station to do a prom dress drive. They got this from a listener this morning:

I am the mother of a senior girl at Broken Arrow. Our family like many other families are struggling financially!

I was stressed about where we would find the money for her prom dress.

I would like to send my heartfelt thanks to all the on-air personalities who put the word out about the dress give away. I took my daughter last weekend to Accessory City and she was able to find an amazing dress!
