9/11 On Facebook
Just about every charity and cause has a "profile" that they ask people to use to show their support. I haven't heard of any stations planning that. You should.
- This is NOT a contest. "Change your profile pic and get spotted for Cirque Soleil tickets!". No. We're doing this to remember.
- "Never Forget" is the slogan and it should be on the profile. Your call letters should be minimal and low profile.
The weekend of 9/9-11 will actually be a tremendous opportunity to use Facebook the way it was intended to be used: as a community. (Though, spamming the friends with info on 2 for 1 well drinks and ladies drink free until midnight, is awesome!) Open up the discussion and let people share about where they were when they heard.
The 103.3 Kiss FM/Pepsi Street Team
Blaine Fowler at DVD in Detroit put together an annual recap on vid for a small client known as "Coke" last year. This is the best effort I've seen since then, and with another unheard-of client known as "Pepsi" at Kiss in Boise where they're the title sponsor of the station street team http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXko_5LJz_Y&feature=youtu.be
Perryazzi
Amanda at Play in Tampa got a VERY cool photo backdrop/setup from a company called Shindigz for their Katy Perry concert. Kiss in Phoenix had an equally garish set up and snapped a load of photos at the Perry show.
