Irish Stu   From Mike Campbell at Newcap/St. Johns: We did 'Who is Irish Stu?'. Done just like Fugitive. During the day long bar-cast, 'Stu' would show up at some point. Hints were given during the day. Stu shows up - someone asks - win prize.

St. Ex Pats    Most Americans wouldn't know what an Ex Pat is. But it COULD be something for you. X and Kiss on Grand Cayman did this two years ago. A giant party for all the locals who were immigrants from other countries. And down there, that's a WHOLE lotta people. Where do the ACTUALLY Irish people in your market go? That's where you want to be.

Guns Don't Kill, Potatoes Do     Can you grid out some squares in a vacant lot or parking lot adjacent to your event. Give away the grids and during the 5 pm commute do live coverage of the spud heard ‘round the world: you take a potato cannon, stuff a dyed green potato in it, and take the shot from 100 yards away. Whoever's it impacts in, wins.

Whatever Stage "Rationalization" Is    This is the third biggest drinking day of the year behind New Years and Halloween. It's really just an excuse to go and drink. So acknowledge that in your imaging. "You don't have to pretend your Irish. You don't have to sing Irish drinking songs. We know you're just looking for an excuse to leave work early and drink. That's cool. We can get behind that." (Stations) It's-Really-Just-An-Excuse-To-Leave-Work-Early-And-Drink St. Patricks Party. You could also do some promos based on someone in "group" talking about how they pretend to be Irish every year just so they can skip out.

Bag Pipe Hero    Going to happen in a few markets. Which leads to a possible on-site game: "Scotch or Irish or Is There Really A Difference?". Kind of a version of Michael Martin's "Mexican Or Not" weekend contest for Wild in SFO. Name a celeb and they have to ID whether they're from Scotland or Ireland.

Kissing Barney Stone    Get a male stripper. Dye him green. Have six female listeners place their lips on him. Person who maintains contact the longest wins an emerald.
