Twitter Away The Summer
That could be an umbrella if you think about it. Because the Summer is about finding stuff to do. Every day is a mini-vacation. Every weekend is Spring Break. What's the next level up from...ugh...a Calendar Of Events? A constant stream of info, from the station, and the listeners, about what's happening in the community. Beach conditions. Block parties. Free events. Etc.
And regarding the Calendar Of Events: if I go to your website and you have one club gig listed and a remote at Jamba Juice, that's kind of sad. Your local chamber of commerce and state Department of Tourism websites are killer resources for all of the local events you should be at. But they're also good for gratuitous content.
A Snuggie Slumber Party
Not that you ever have a club asking for a bit, but one of the cooler CHR's is doing a Snuggie Slumber Party in conjunction with that market's free entertainment paper. Staff will be in logo'ed Snuggies. Listeners will come in their own Snuggies and compete in all the standard slumber party activities like Truth Or Dare and Spin The Bottle. And drinking. Lots of drinking.
4th Of July Personal Shopper
One of the stations has a client that will give them some cash to be used for prizes. They just want, yes, added value. WPGC did something for the 4th that would be perfect for this kind of situation; they had listeners submit grocery lists for what they were going to need for their holiday barbecue. The station picked a few of them, went, did all the shopping, delivered the stuff and paid for it.
