They Got The Name AND Station Right

Last month of The Press Fairies were especially generous with stations as both Hot 98.1 in Greenville and Star in Pittsburgh had stuff that went around the world and back again. Musical Chairs

AMP in Calgary, where they just wrapped up Birthday Suit & Tie for JT tickets, got 100 Directioneers to come out and play musical chairs for a trip to see 1D in Vancouver. I personally had advised Paul Kaye to have key songs on the :08's but bonus songs by The Jo Bros at the :11's but only on odd numbered hours to text ireallyreallylove1dandwouldkilltoseethem to 183496 to earn points to bid on the trip in the VIP Club. Sadly he didn't listen to my advice.

Traffic

The best bits evolve out of random thoughts. Not an initiative or focus group. Last week for no apparent reason, Katie Fitter at KOB-FM decided to do Haiku Traffic. Audience loved it.

The Art of Promotions is to stand out. And there are going to be some things that you do that everyone else is doing. So why would you NOT want to differentiate yourself from them. It's free. Also understand that most of the people at the traffic services are out-of-work DJ's dying for an opportunity to audition, or, at the very least, have some fun. So what else could you do?
