An At-Work Breast Cancer Promotion
No less than three stations are broaching the Bras Across frontier for '13. It's entirely possible to over think this. You collect bras. You loop them. You stretch them. You get press. You do a fundraiser party to celebrate.
One of the stations has a client that wants to do lots and lots of free mammograms. What no station has ever done is The Big Squeeze. The office/workplace with the highest percentage of employees coming in to (client) to get screened in the month of October, wins a movie screening and lunch for the entire place. Not based on numbers but percentage of the female workforce.
X-Raying Candy
If someone isn't already offering this service, hook up with a hospital and put together a schedule of times when parents can haul in the booty to get it scanned for needles and pins. (Wasn't that a Linda Ronstadt song?)
Better Then Fiber
The Beat in Austin did a weekend titled "Things That Make You Go Poo" and did horror videos and adult Depends diapers. You could change "poo" to "boo" and still have a great concept.
Create An Urban Legend
How cool would that be? Start a scary rumor that will freak out local kids for generations to come. The urban legend in Austin (and apparently there's some truth to it) is that a section of railroad tracks out in the woods is haunted by children killed in a school bus/train collision from the 40's. For sixty years college and highschool students have accepted the dare to go out there at night..
High School Football...On Crack
The best football patrol was at Kiss 95.1 in Charlotte where they combined their Athlete Of The Week with the CBS affiliates Game Of The Week.Otis, live for half an hour, from a different game every week. Which is moderately large.
