For The Morning Shows
Since there are women selling positive pregnancy tests on Craigslist, it would seem to be something that you could have some fun with. I'd get one and have a listener leave it in her boyfriend's bathroom trash for him to find after he's somehow ended up in her dog house.
"Are Those Sharks With Frick'in Lasers On Their Heads?"
We were discussing concert weaponry and individual lasered logo'ed dealies(tm) came up. Little lights that you can hand out and the audience will blast your logo all over an event. And yes, we found a vendor. Email Bill Pasha at bpasha@multibrandmedia.com and he'll hook you up.
A Ticket Is Defined As "Hot" When...
...you hear from people you haven't heard from in years. As when Gary Spivey comes in to Dave Ryan's show and suddenly my roommate from the U of M calls up to say hi...
Peak in Boise had the epitome of a hot ticket: Aaron Paul from "Break Bad" is from the market and his mom is an AE at the station. So for one of the last show he bought out a theater, streamed the episode, gave a bunch of tickets to his old highschool and gave the rest to the Peak stations. Suddenly Kevin Godwin was dealing with old college roommates.
From Kate McGwire at Mix:
In the 7AM hour we auctioned off a pair of tickets with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Idaho Foodbank's Backpack Buddy Program. William Winn had the winning bid with $650. That fills 104 backpacks for Idaho children who would go hungry over the weekend if it were not for those backpacks.
In the 8AM hour we auctioned off our 2nd pair with 100% of the proceeds benefiting St. Luke's Children's Hospital. Aaron Weiss had the winning bid of $1200. St. Luke's Children's Hospital is a Not For Profit hospital that does not ever turn away a child. They see over 71,00 children each year.
In the 9AM hour we auctioned off our final pair with 100% of the proceeds going to Treasure Valley Youth Theater. Treasure Valley Youth Theater, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that empowers youth and inspires future innovators, entrepreneurs, creators, humanitarians and artists through performance-based theater arts programs. Located in Meridian. The winning bid was $1025 from Allison Wood. We surprised the lady who lost out to Allison with a pair of tickets if she was willing to still donate. She jumped at the chance and added another $550 to our total. Jennifer Opalenik is her name. The entire donation will go to the production of Schoolhouse Rock, Live! Jr. This fall the cast of 16 youth ages 10-15 are producing the musical "Schoolhouse Rock, Live! Jr." on Oct. 26 (11am, 3pm & 7pm) at the Meridian Middle School Auditorium. Total for this local charity we raised $1575!!
Total amount raised today from Breaking Bad Live Stream at the Egyptian is $3425!!
