Real Laps Of Genius
One of the PD's who has had multiple successes with Secret Superstars is going to go through the audio archives and find ten quick clips from TV shows and movies of actors and actresses saying "I want...". These will be collaged and the presentation is that the station has a mall Santa and a lot of celebs have come by to sit on his lap. ID them all and win shopping money.
A Lap With A View
IF you had some kind of Christmas show or are doing tickets to an event or concert, what if you had two winners watch the thing while sitting on Santa's lap?
Drawing Straws
One of the stations has a big event looming and was wondering what they could do at their booth that would be quick and holiday themed and NOT EXPENSIVE. Here's what I shot them: What if, instead of drawing straws, you draw candy canes? You get a block of wood and drill 50 holes in it. 45 of the holes are deep and 5 are shallow. You stick candy canes in the holes so they stick out. The five are cracked in half and stuck in their holes. They all look the same height. Come through. Pull out a candy cane, if it's long, you get to keep it. If it's one of the short ones, you win a prize.
Backstage Helmet Cam
We take for granted so many things. Like going backstage at concerts. Your listeners can only DREAM of that kind of experience. What if you pulled a Letterman's dog bit and stuck a camera on a helmet at your next show. Take all the footage from behind the scenes and have it viewable on the website starting the next morning?
Wild 94.9 in San Francisco once web-cammed their Boo Bomb and had a stationary camera up front and three mobile cameras like this wandering backstage and the halls and concourses.
Morning Show Guests
We all have them. And it's usually fun and allright and no one remembers and there's nothing
fun to post. So a station in the UK does Innuendo Bingo. This is a listener and Olly Murs.
