Things You Don't Get With The VIP Club
Most promotions have a life of about 2 minutes. When it's over, it over and no one cared and no one cares. The Last Contest in San Diego? The biggest cash contest in US Radio History. The Lost 1 at 102 Jamz in Greensboro? 20 years later people still recall it verbatim.
8 years ago WBLI did The Fugitive(tm) and it showed up in a list of "things you might remember if you grew up on Long Island." http://thoughtcatalog.com/lance-pauker/2014/01/the-11-best-things-about-growing-up-on-long-island/#GfOExYZKQcVokG45.01
March Ticket Madness
This was a great umbrella from one of the stations that tied together everything they did in March. Lottery tickets. Concert tickets. Movie tickets. Kind of like Summer Of 10,000 tickets.
The Run Of The Roses
This is just coming together this morning but I think its great and would be perfect for a mall or plaza:
"Running of the Roses" - Kind of a twist on Diamond Dash -
We get 15-20 plastic roses. (blue or yellow, not red)
Hide them in (mall) - in the elevator, taped to a railing of the staircase, parking garage, etc. (Obviously not inside a business unless they give us the ok)
Couples sign up online...
Each rose has a clue on it to where the RED ROSE is. The RED ROSE has a voucher for a ring upgrade, or something of value with a jeweler - maybe a vacation getaway for 2-
First couple to find it wins.
We can keep it confined to (mall) property & make sure the participants understand the boundaries.
Ex's
You can never go wrong with ex's. One of the morning shows is interviewing all of their ex's who will explain why the guys and the female co-host are essentially undateable.
At AMP in Calgary they spoke with Katie's ex who said: she hit him when they broke up and when asked if her 'performance' was any good... he said 'she just used to stare at the same spot on the ceiling'
