It's Rocket Science, Damn It!
It's been a relatively mild and uneventful winter in Boston, but Loren & Wally from WROR made the most of a road salt shortage by going out to Dunkin Donuts around the market during the height of a recent snow and handed out Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate to plow drivers.
Employment After Deployment
I think that Radio does an actually pretty good job at honoring our military and our vets. I wanna say that it was Y-108 in Pittsburgh that first did this feature and they've helped MANY returning servicemen and women find jobs.
Kudos and dare I say...an accolade...to KSON in SanDiego where they've jump on it and gotten a tremendous response.

I've picked that up ever since Lauren from Cities 97 took my 12 y/o daughter back to meet Matt Nathanson. She came back to the catering area and showed me her pics to which I commented, "He's kinda hunky". She replied, "Ya think?"
So the lottery peaked at 400+ million a few weeks, so Liz at Q-107.5 in Memphis went and bought ten tickets, posted the photo and said that if they won, they'd split it with everyone who liked or shared the post. From Chris Taylor: the lottery ticket on FB had 12 MILLION views was shared 331,000 times and increased our likes by a couple thousand....HUGE
Boom Boom Bang
One of the stations has concert tickets and was looking for something to do outside that would overshadow what the competition will be doing across the plaza. The idea? Boom Boom Bang. A hundred balloons with prize slips in them. Step up, pull down a balloon, pop it, win whatever's inside, including tickets and passes to the afterparty. It will be noisy, which is a great metaphor for Promotions. You want to be loud. Loud gets noticed.
