Prom With A Twist

The whole 'win a date to prom with a DJ' bit has been so over-done, and usually poorly. I've got a hook. But since you're not a client, too bad. However, what if you spun this and had your morning guy or girl take a teacher to prom. Fact: every school has a cool teacher. Have the students nominate a teacher who is single and maybe had never gone to prom. Do a limo. Bring some of the students along. Again: this stuff is only an excuse to be out at these big events.

Spot Checking & Stickers

KROQ in LA has done one of the more mammoth sticker campaigns. Taco Bell spent something like a million to be the sponsor. And they have done something that I always reiterate with stations who use client's locations to disseminate the stickers: you have to spot check them. You can't just drop off 200 cases of stickers at some regional office for a chain of convenience stores and expect that they'll magically appear on counters. Or that, when they run out, the night manager at a Qwik Pik is going to know to call and get more. Everyone on the staff has to be assigned some locations to check. At least once a week.

Extreme Tree House Makeover

This is my favorite promotion of maybe the last decade. (I love treehouses). They did this at Fly in Albany. Here's their recap. The number of clients you could bring in on this? Staggering.

On May 26th we send the family to the Great Escape Lodge for two days (limo transportation both ways - Maybe Today's?). They arrive back home on Monday May 28th (Memorial Day) around noon where we will BBQ with them and the FLY Morning Rush will be broadcasting live.

Here is what I know we have:

• Lowes to provide lumber & labor
• Dt. Pepsi to provide 2 19" flat screen TV's for the Tree House

Here is our wish list:

• T-Shirts & Baseball caps for all staff - Maybe Lowes would like to sponsor these
• Paint - Lowes?
• Furniture - We were thinking kids furniture like beanbag chairs, video game chairs etc...
• Curtains - Lowes?
• Mini Fridge - Dt. Pepsi? - We could stock it with their product
• Built in Stereo System
• Tire Swing
• Nintendo Wii or PS3
• Cordless Phone
• Gift Cards for food - Price Chopper/Hannaford?
• Toilet & Sink would be great
• Miller BBQ for the Finale on May 28th
• We will need an electrician for power
