The Simplicty Of Street Marketing
So, a Cabela's opened up in Greenville.
So, Woodruff Road, which is already a choke point, was going to be a nightmare.
So, Porkchop (possibly not her real name) at Hot 98.1 and Supa Dave Jackson had all three vehicles out, cruising and also parked at strategic locations. Why? The bigger question is why would you ever leave your billboards parked in a garage.
iPad Tag
Stations that have contested with 'Pads have discovered that they're better than cash. Like 94/9 in San Diego with "Attack Of The iPads" followed by "Bride Of iPad"
AMP in La was the first station to apply the tag methodology to it and today in Dallas, 106.1 Kiss-FM in tagging them out every hour.
The iSummer
Hot in Ottawa did One Tweet Summer in 2010 and did treasure hunts with tweeted clues leading people to the daily tickets. One of the OM's had this idea for an umbrella. How about "iSummer" for the name? :
We arm the summer team with iphones (from sponsor) and all summer they take cool pics of events and listeners and post em on facebook/twitter.
We promo it on air but the majority of their communicating where they, what you can win is posted on line vs cut ins.
At end of summer we give away bunch of iphones/ bberrys and ipads.
Vegas With A Twist
"Somewhere" a station is getting ready to kick off a contest that melds two great promotions: a wedding and a flyaway to Las Vegas. They're going to get their couple and then give away spots to be guests at the ceremony. They'll be taking a plane load of winners and the couple to Vegas for the wedding and a couple of nights of partying.
