First, if you aren't using me for "sales stuff", please do. In fact I'm hitting the road next month and will be doing cattle call days with AE's: just camping in the conference room as they come through and hopefully leave with stuff they can immediately sell.

I spent a chunk of Sunday helping a sales person at Journal in Knoxville sway a very lucrative laser hair removal client. One of the ideas was Hairyoke where listeners win prizes for singing while getting cleaned up.

Bel Boschi, CPR Director of Computer Stuff is Brazilian in a couple of ways and says that this TV show was HUGE.

Imagine it as a morning show bit sponsored by some kind laser or waxing joint. Miss a trivia question and get ripped.

Dance More Monday

Hot 89.9 in Ottawa uses "Listen More, Dance More" as their motto. On holiday Mondays (like Canadian Labor Day on Monday) they do Dance More Mondays.

Spot Checking Your Social Media

I think I've referenced Carlos at NOW in SFO finding a really disgruntled listener on the competition's Facebook page and converting him to a 99.7 P1 with some Bruno tickets.

In fact, last week, my social media espionage chick (or S.M.E.C.) was hitting up some stations with simple basic questions about what they were doing that weekend and got zip. How sad is that?

This is from Rico Garcia with Results Radio in Sacramental: A listener was complaining on a competing station FB that she got through, gave the right answer to their game, but was THEN told "we have a winner" and hung up on. She's convinced they lied to her (and since we know that trick, they probably did lie to her). So we went and commented on her post on their wall saying, "We'll make-up for their stupidity. We have a pair of tickets for you. Call our studios to arrange claiming your prize." She was still (bad term) herself when she arrived to pick them up 3 hours later. The competition has since deleted the complaint post, and we won a new P1. She already posted a photo on her FB that she took with two of our jocks when she came in. LOL
