Taylor Swift
I'm still on the fence; she feels like a fad.
Because we are the great reposters of other peoples content, this has shown up on only a million radio station sites in the past few days. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/11/06/shake-it-off-1989-aerobic-video_n_6116400.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular
If you were to do this with listeners submitting photos of their dogs? Or babies? That's the stuff that will suddenly have a million clicks to your site as people share it around the world.
Or, do your own with the staff in fitness wear.
The Lincoln TV Spot
We've all reposted the Jim Carrey/SNL parody. But what about doing your own that also promotes your gas giveaway. Nah. We'd never want to be topical and create content. Like they did at KSON in San Diego.
"You Should See What It Looks Like From Out Here!"
That was actually "A Christmas Story". Schulte & Swann from KZIA in Cedar Rapids are on their sixth year of hooking up with a sound engineer and doing a Clark Griswold job on a house, which then becomes the show's official light display. (Times and directions to the house will be on the station site for listeners to go and bask in the holiday warmth)
Give And Receive
It's traditional to give people who donate to your holiday drive something. People love ornaments. Ornaments are the swag that will keep getting used over and over and over and over.
Still Hope For Terrestrial Radio
There is a large, cool and highly rated station somewhere that is working on the legalities behind using "Christmas Vacation" as the 12/24 evening soundtrack. Why? Why not. Everyone will be listening to the all Christmas station so this might be the ONLY chance to snag a meter or two.
