The Perfect Pump
So brilliant that I'm sad I can't say whose idea it is. BUT...there's a station that does Pump My Ride as a gas contest every year. This year they're adding the element that if you can hit the dial position, say, $10.71, they'll top off the tank. Genius.
Inmate Or Playmate
Sarah Pepper at Hot in Houston has read dating profiles from meet-an-inmate.com and from non-prisoner dating sites. ID the subject as one or the other to win.
Daddy/Daughter Dance
These are big deals as evidenced by the insane number of photos that people post on Facebook. Yet, no one has done a big formal for Fathers Day. Prediction? You'd sell that mutha out.
Wednesday Night
The last few years have been phenomenally disappointing when it comes to Tax Night. Not sure why. And I could easily understand why, in 2015, with most of you trying to find ways to spend the hundreds of thousands of dollars that you've been budgeted for TV, that going down for some free logos on the live shot during the late news would be pretty low on the priority level. Despite that, 2015 looks to be maybe the best year in a decade. Dunk tanks seem to be returning with a vengeance. Go. Make noise. Get free TV.
PPM
As witnessed by any station that has dipped their toes in the Baby Idol pool, getting people to post shots of their beloved children seems to be the muther (pun intentional) of all Hot Buttons. The fact that the acronym for Q-104/Cleveland's Proud Parent Moments was 'PPM' is simply a bonus.
