Fake Book Friends
I have a small legion of people who I've used to help juice comments on wall posts. For everything from generating interest about an on-sale to a stunt we're doing somewhere right now that got 8000 views in six hours last night. You should make sure you have 20 or 30 go-to people for this kind of thing. Just people you can quickly message and ask to go and get some comments rolling.
Theme Parks
To add to the stuff that has gone out already, one of the stations has a soft drink that is going to
be doing some things with the local park. A few of the ideas were:
- Thrills & Spills. On-site at retailers. Have contestants race a course of cones holding a tray with several cups of (sode) on it. Timed. And with the most (soda) unspilled for the passes.
- Love At First Fright. You have five guys and five women and the audience matches them for a date at the park for Halloween. Much like Mix 'N Match For Mraz that Fly did in Albany.
- Scream Queen. Audition listeners to be the Official Scream of the client's spots.
- Could also be done as "iScream" where you ID clips of terror from films for passes and concession treats at the park.
Arithmetickets
It's amazing what will pop into your head as you're blasting across North Dakota. This would most likely be a weekend contest.
"Kenny Chesney has nine bunks on his bus. If the crew each drinks three bottles of beer, how many bottles should the caterer put on ice during the load out?"
"Brad Paisley sold out (venue) of 14,500 tickets at $25 a ticket. The promoter gave 100 tickets to (your station). How much is Brad banking?"
