Last Grad Standing
I love marathon contests. This is what Monty Hall would do if he had a big showcase prize to giveaway. And Mix in Buffalo may have pulled off the best 'thon since KDWB did Survive It And Drive It on a coaster at Valleyfair. The key is to do it at a mall or theme park or other place with a built in crowd. Like what Mix 96 in Buffalo did...at a fair. http://mix96buffalo.com/last-grad-out-takes-video
TapSnap
Thank you to Kruz from 94.9 in Cincinnati for a shot using a Tap Snap photo booth from a recent event. It's a pretty amazing (and expensive) toy so either find some 13 y/o with MacGyver skills to create your own program, have the company get one and send it wherever it's needed most for events, or have a client pay for it, which his station did.
The Best Contest Name Of 2015 (So Far)
"Monster Between Your Legs" from a station-to-remain-nameless that will be giving away haunted house passes to qualify listeners for a motorcycle.
Cuts For Kids
Kudo's and even accolade to Hot 98.1 in Greenville where they gave away free haircuts for back to school on a first-come-first-cut basis and did 127 kids. You can overthink prizing. You save me $30 or $40 bucks on getting my kids cut before they head back next week? That's great. And...they just pulled of a sold out Back To School Bash with Silento too.
The Best Morning Show Contest You've Never Heard Of
I love any kind of promotion that involves ambushing listeners. Mix in San Antonio helped a guy ambush his girlfriend on Valentines Day...with a minister and her friends and family and basically married her on the spot. Somewhere, this morning, a show is ambushing a woman at work with all of the fixin's for the best wedding anniversary ever.
