Townsquare was so fast and so quick on a relief drive (filled 5 moving vans with basic necessities from Walmart for people who'd lost everything) that not only did they scoop everyone else, but, from Donovan Short: You know you've gotten out early on a relief effort when the Red Cross and Salvation Army are referring evacuees to the radio station, instead of the other way around.

2-Day FM has added a twist to this years "carving pumpkins with weed whackers" promotion. The pumpkins will be decorated as zombies.. The fastest listener to completely obliterate their gourd wins a gift card to a Halloween store. The name for this event? The Walking Shred. Lyndsay Taylor gets a smile face on her report card for coming up with that.

Butch For Bieber

If "Dads In Drag" didn't work, Radio wouldn't have been doing it since 1966. But no one has ever done the opposite. Until now. One of the stations is going to do an on-site at the venue for meet and greets with moms dressing up as Bieber. I don't know, maybe it was the 7 years in a Peruvian prison but this is kind of hot.

Next Wednesday Night

Ridiculously huge club night. It's the night that college students reconnect with their friends who have all scattered. Thus, if you chose to call it The Pre-Bird Class Reunion, that would not be too far-afield. It's going to be The Yam Jam at one station. The Night Of The Living Cousins at another.

I've lobbed this out before too. Many people are going to be stuck with entertaining relatives. It would be great to have something on the website where you can sign up for a text that summons you back to work. IE: I'm sitting with my cousin from Des Moines, my cell buzzes. Dang.
