Street Team Uniforms
I've always kind of dreaded uniforms on the promo people because usually they end up looking like they're employees of an Orlando mini-golf course circa 1991. But a uniformed LOOK is good and since Radio People are prone to dressing like slobs, having an established criteria helps avoid Dave The Intern showing up in a MILF Hunter shirt at the T-Mobile remote.
Taryn at Newcap in Vancouver is fancy and has come up with some basic looks for each of the stations. Kind of like Target with khaki pants. Like these.
Bad News Ballad
A soon-to-be recurring feature at Mix in San Antonio where Russell Rush has discovered that bad news is best delivered in the form of a song. So he'll get bad news from a listener that they need passed along to a friend or family member, a local Idol contestant turns it into a 45 second song, and they call and it's performed/delivered.
In The Beginning, There Was Shock Collar Karaoke
These guys have tens of millions of youtube hits, so they clearly have stumbled on something when it comes to providing entertaining content and getting people to market them to friends and family.
