KUBE in Seattle, may it rest in peace, was the first station to have a cordoned off porta john at a summer event (Sea Fair) and awarded laminated VIPee Passes to it on the air. You would have thought they were giving away trips to Hawaii. It was nicer than the standard fair john and they'd put a little white picket fence around it and stocked it like a bathroom at Planet Hollywood.

Even if Beale Street Music Fest had not become Mud Fest, the Potty Passes to the staff john in Q's fenced off enclosure, would have still been Gold.

The Best Street Teamer Of 2016

To be honest, I didn't meet a street teamer that Liz Grant has put on the Q Unit that doesn't bring something unique to the table.

First, the woman in the middle is notable because in two weeks she's going to get married and legally be known as "Morgan Freeman". But, she was great and on her own and with no prompting, at a BSMF pre-event with Panic At The Disco, went and started working the room with a photo prop getting listeners pics and posting them. She had been taught to take the initiative and not sit around waiting for someone to tell her what to do.

The woman on the right is a star. The next Kelsey McElroy ,who went from unpaid intern in North Dakota to Promo Asst. at Power 96 in Miami to FT Promo Director for Beasley in Wilmington in 90 days.

Why is Noah great and what does she have that you should be looking for?

1. With perhaps the stations two biggest clients, she is on a first name basis with the managers and they have total and complete trust in her not screwing up.
2. She very EASILY could have glommed onto any of the artists that came through and become that annoying promo person you need to tell to stop being a groupie. Nope. Her gig was to take pics and she did it. Didn't ask to get hers with the bands. In fact, of the 18,000 photos on the Q Facebook page, she's not in one. Her gig is to take them. Not pose in them.
3. She GETS "engagement". She can do balloon animals.
4. She facepaints kids at events.
5. She does sidewalk chalk with kids at events.
6. She's learning how to do caricatures.

You really want people who will not sit at the booth but who will stand out front and work the crowd.
