The Best Morning Show Contest That's Never Been Done
At CPR Promotions we hire only the best and the brightest. And also Bel Boschi.
She thought it would be great to...well, in her words:
A kid (5 years old or so) wearing headphones will listen to a song (there could be a theme if you want, say 80's top hits or whatever) parents are in the room, then the kid has to describe what the song is about (so if it was Tiffany's "I think we're alone now" the kid might say "they are running really fast and they want to be alone") to his parents. Parents can ask questions that result in Yes or No answers to try to figure out what song it is.
Like this.
Still One Of The Greatest Contests Ever
It works. Like the secret noise stuff, it plays to the masses who want to hear if the player wins or gets zonked.
TV/Movies Applied To Promotions
From Rico Garcia with Results Radio who spotted an Aaron Sorkin piece on-line:
"Intention and obstacle is everything. Intention and obstacle is what makes it drama. Somebody wants the money, they want the girl, they want to get to Philadelphia; it doesn't matter, they just need a strong intention, and then there needs to be a formidable obstacle. The tactic that your protagonist (or protagonists) use to overcome that obstacle is going to be your story. That's what you're gonna hang everything on. Without intention and obstacle, you're coming dangerously close to finger painting."
