From Fat To Phat
Some of the best promotions and features were ripped from Oprah's pre-preachy era. Much like this from the morning show at Y-94 in Fargo. http://y94.com/fat-to-phat/
Another Spin On Food Deliveries

Club Z
A station-to-remain-nameless has tied in with a local promoter for a Halloween thing that is ridiculously cool.
They have a large swatch of land where the promoter is building a tiny village. You pay $25, get 50 paintballs and ride in an old army halftrack that has both sides lined with paintball guns. As you drive through the wood and this little village zombies will shuffle out and you blast the crap out of them. At the end of the road, the vehicle turns around, you can buy more paintballs and you then get to blast the zombies on the other side of the road.
Eventually you are dropped at a field with lights and fog and music and are joined by the zombies for a dance party.
Do this.
The Stuff That Sirius Can't Do
From Newcap in Toronto:
Canadian Olympic Medalist Penny Oleksiak had tweeted out that she and a teammate tried to buy Drake tickets for his Toronto concert to celebrate their win in Rio. Sadly, the concert had sold out. 93-5 The Move saw the tweet and reached out to her directly offering her a pair of tickets. She replied to us immediately with heartfelt gratitude.
2 hours later, she was competing in the Women's 100m freestyle. She tied for gold - and now holds the record for most medals by a Canadian in a single Olympic Games.
Several news outlets picked up the story of us offering her Drake tickets (including the CBC - Canada's Olympic Broadcaster). It's now flooded our twitter feed and several other news outlets have been reaching out to us for comment.
