Football Bingo
I think that Q-102 in Cincinnati was the first station to do Office Bingo. Print out a daily card from the station and while you are sitting in your cubical pounding out TPS reports, mark off boxes when you hear or see stuff around the workplace like "I'm going out for coffee. Anyone want me to bring them something back?"
Hot in Sudbury did it with hockey. You could do this with the MLB playoffs and definitely football.
Feet & Greet
Opportunities to meet artists are things that we kind of take for granted, primarily because we are so out-of-touch with what it's like in the Real World. For 5SOS, 'QEN in Birmingham did Sockies. Take a photo of your socks, hashtag, share and hope to get picked.
Or, you could lose the sock and appeal to a burgeoning fetish community and have people decorate their feet (feetdazzle?), shoot, hashtag and share.
Maroon 5 Seconds
They played Memphis the other night and it was, of course packed and the crowds overflowed onto Beale Street from the venue. Thirty minutes before showtime, with long long lines waiting to get in, two stations packed up their tents and set-ups. Why? This just makes no sense.
Anywho, Nugget from Q-107.5 took callers on Monday morning and they had five seconds to beg, plead, suck up, whatever, to convince him to award them backstage passes. Please steal this.
Five Second Ticket Swap
This came up with an OM who must remain nameless but is definitely in the upper 50% of the curve when he's not on The Pipe.
For his next concert, he's going to go down on the floor and find people with really outstanding seats and offer them meet and greet passes if they'll swap with someone in the nose bleeds. And they'll have five seconds to make their decision.
