The first 4th of July that I had this job I was at Hot in Jacksonville and we cruised the boardwalk giving pop to people: you would have thought we were giving out $100 bills.

As mentioned before, I'm weird. I don't like ice cream. But I'm connected enough to reality to know that I'm weird and that people who like it generally love it.

This is simple a little fest where ice cream is a part of the draw. IF...you were in a market where there were a variety of brands and blends and mom 'n pop stores, this could be the sugarised version of a Craft Beer Fest. Back To School

Toms is one of the retailers that do buy one/we'll donate one offers for shoes and charity.

Since everyone seemingly does backpacks and school supplies for back to school, what if you collected some shoes for low-income kids.

Maybe do "Feet & Greet". Donate new or gently-used shoes and be in the running for backstage passes. Also a great opportunity to tie in a box store or chain of footwear retailers

Columbia is going to be a hotspot, or cool-spot? Hotels are soldout with a lot of visitors from Europe coming to witness it right here in the Soda City. We're at our historic speedway in the market with 9-acres of viewing space...

Q93-5 is hoping to pull off the Back 2 School Balldrop (with helicopter, crossing fingers) for $1,000 in back-to-school cash at noon, with the viewing around 2:40P or so. On-site we have bounce castles, live music, food and beverage along with station logo viewing glasses! Looking for more on-site activities to add-on - do share!
