When Money Is Not Money
If you've done anything with lottery tickets, you will know that contesting will activate people who might not normally call or text to try to win stuff. Power in Miami had $300 a week for contesting and did three packs of 96 lottery tickets with a back-to-back song contest. Phones imploded.
I heard a station this weekend that was awarding winners with $200 in casino credit. $200 is fine. $200 at a casino? That's when you start spending it mentally: $5 on keno, then $3 at the bar and then the $10 buffet and then $3 at the bar, and then $50 for backjack, and then $3 at the bar, and then $50 on the $5 Wheel of Fortune, and then $3 at the bar....I actually texted and tried to win. And I'm jaded AF.
Shark Week
I don't get it. But I also don't like ice cream.
It starts July 23rd. Star in Pittsburgh re-did "Sharknado" as "Carpnado" and made their own low budget movie. KOB-FM in Albuquerque honored an annual infestation with Moth Week. Recognize dogs and their owners with Bark Week. Do a poker tournament with DJ's and the airstaff as Card Shark Week. K-97 in Edmonton does Cougar Week every year.
You have a couple of weeks to plan. It's a "thing". You need to do something with it.
