This Makes Me Smile
So, there's a competitor in one of the markets who likes to try and intimidate the promo people and takelt at other stations when they're out at events. Just kind of a Gandhi passive-aggressive thing about standing at their booth, taking photos of them. So Lovey (real name) has branded him as "My best friend!" and greets him that way when he encroaches on their space. He hates it. That's great. Never give people like that the satisfaction of making you angry.
Best Job Title In Years
The oft-referred to Kelsey McElroy at Hot 97 in New York is their Field Director Of Promotions. She's in charge of everything that happens on the streets, at events, brand activation and also the social media aspects of all that.
Fill Our Cups
This came together in moments on a call yesterday where a station was looking for a hook for a weekly morning show event that they'll be doing at Dunkin Donuts. Boom. They're going to have people bring in bras and will receive a cup of their own (coffee). And all the bras will be strung together for a Bras Over event later in the month.

Jillian Callahan at iHeart in Albany reminds us that there is more than toys that can be collected in December. Like...new pajamas. A previous station she worked at before failing a drug test did a campaign based around this and it was massive. And a great feel-good alternative if your competition owns the Toys position.
