For The Morning Shows
I was at Y-94 in Fargo and the news that day was about some elderly woman who would eat at places like Olive Garden and write legitimate on-line reviews as if this was the Sorbonne. So I started reviewing fast food places. https://www.facebook.com/paige.nienaber/media_set?set=a.10151962850422780.1073741830.643397779&type=3
Next level? One of the AE's at iHeart in Albany has an old, cranky alter image named Harvey Slotnick who does stuff on Yelp. https://www.yelp.com/user_details_reviews_self?userid=1YgyKstpBrI-Kq7VyOgktg
Dare To Be Square
One of the stations got a pretty jacked up Wendy's request. What if you got something like this for your big summer events and asked people to hashtag some kind of "square" message when sharing their photos. Randomly pick shots for Wendy's food. But it's got to be bigger than a burger. Radio started to slide the day it began awarding 89 cent hamburgers to callers.
Tinder
For the record, this clip is NSFW. But the concept could easily be a morning show feature, much like KSON does in San Diego with Teen Tweets: reading random teen's tweets in a really whiny voice.

There isn't a game show that doesn't have a wheel of some kind. So, tomorrow, K-Hits in Sacramento is doing the Wheel Of Leprechauns and callers will be assigned to one, the wheel will be spun accompanied by screaming leprechauns and if it lands on yours, you win.
Other things that have been spun?
- Wild in San Francisco was the first to debut the Wheel Of Meat. Prior to 3 day holiday weekends in the summer, the wheel would be spun and whatever it landed on (wieners, steak, ground beef, carne asada, whatever) you got ten pounds of it from a grocer client. Phones blowed UP.
- Wheel Of Pop Culture Stupidity. Done at Power in Miami. Get a caller, spin a wheel and ask them the corresponding question: "Emma Watson uses blank on her blanks". Know this piece of inconsequential minutiae and win.
- Wheel Of Meals. At Jamz in Birmingham. They were doing the easiest, simplest and best ratings contest ever: Food And A Flick. You won two movie tickets and dinner for two. It was like they were giving away $1000. You got the tickets, it spun and you won meals at, say, Lonestar Grill.
