Weekend Before Thanksgiving Client Bit

One of the stations has a promotional request from O'Reilley Auto Parts. Thanksgiving is obviously a big time period for loading Ellen, Rusty and Audrey in the Truckster and hitting the road.
What if you did a Winterization Clinic? Roll up and get the tread checked, pressure checked, wiper blades inspected, all the lights working?...and then send them off to fend for themselves on the crowded highways. Could be done at a car dealer that has a service bay, too.

Little Kids

Any time you have access to a little kid, it's Comedy Gold. (This statement was approved by my legal counsel)

The morning guy at Power 102 in El Paso regularly used a little five year old boy for his prank calls. They would air him doing such age-inappropriate things as booking limo and a suite in in Las Vegas and asking the reservationist "How many ho's will fit in the hot tub". This bit spun out of deal in 1990 when two 12 year-old girls on a Friday night used their dad's AMEX and booked first class seats to Boston, limo and a suite at the Ritz Carlton as they went in search of NKOTB.
Karson & Kennedy had little girls warbling Madonna songs to win tickets and a limo for their parents. Kennedy alluded to an 8 year-old girl singing "Papa Don't Preach" as being one of the highlights of her career.

Best Halloween On-Line Content In Radio

My favorite line of today was: "We need to focus on our holiday show and will be addressing Halloween with some topics on Facebook..."

I replied: "Actually, I can see that. It makes sense. It's not like TV is going to be filled with special programming or their shows will have special episodes or people will be going to work in costume or people would be leaving work early to take their kids out or that it will be the #1 trend on the planet. (BLEEP) yeah, ignore it. The concert is more important."

I expect that I won't be in the budget for 2019. I'm genuinely sad.

Russell Rush at Now in San Antonio makes some of the most amazing videos in Radio. Really historic stuff. His Valentines proposal thing was ART.
