There was this amazing talent named Kate McGwire who was at Mix in Boise and created something called "Kate University" which even had its own crest. Every month she would go out and do something that she'd never done before, like going moonlight bowling or seeing "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" or singing karaoke or going to see male strippers. And she would invite listeners who had also never done it to join her for the experience.

It was great bonding time with the P1's and Kate was/is one of those talent who you REALLY want the listeners to hang out with because they'll walk away as fans for life.

Fish Fry Friday

Easter is nigh as the kids like to say and in some markets like Cincinnati and Buffalo, fish fries are a huge part of the season. One of the things that the Hubbard stations have done is to have a web feature that lists all of them that are occurring in Cincy. Collusion

If you can occasionally sound in-the-moment and refer to the flu or whatever people are talking about, you're going to appear to be way more tapped into the vibe than the vt'ed monstrosity across the street. Even if you are VT'ed: it's imaging. You can control that on a local level.

So one of the stations is doing an on-line gallery contest and tomorrow will start running a promo announcing they have uncovered evidence of contest collusion and are removing Svetlana Nominovsky Johnson and Boris Jackamov Smith from the promotion.
