WPGC used to have a remote studio in an old movie theater ticket window in Georgetown. On Friday and Saturday nights, if Albie felt bored in the studio, he could go down there, flip a switch and be on the air and sound WAY more tapped into the vibe than the competitor locked in their studio.
Ditto with KLUC in Las Vegas where, on super hot days, they could go to Wet & Wild, plug in and be on.
KJ-103 in Oklahoma City has their own version at the local theme park, Frontier City. Why wouldn't you want to be out marketing to thousands of people on a great afternoon in June?
