Going out and delivering cold sodas and bottled water to people who work outdoors on a blazingly hot summer days is just simple, great marketing. The first 4th of July that I had this job I was at Hot in Jacksonville and we cruised the boardwalk giving pop to people: you would have thought we were giving out $100 bills.
And now you have a name. Go and sell it.

Toms is one of the retailers that do buy one/we'll donate one offers for shoes and charity.
Since everyone seemingly does backpacks and school supplies for back to school, what if you collected some shoes for low-income kids.
Maybe do "Feet & Greet". Donate new or gently-used shoes and be in the running for backstage passes. Also a great opportunity to tie in a box store or chain of footwear retailers
Slip A Garter That Could Win A Diamond
One of the stations has a jewelry store that wants, wait for it, foot traffic. The idea was that everyone who comes in mentions the afternoon guy would get something. What if you got a mannequin and on its leg were a hundred garters? You come in, say you heard it from your station, and you get to slide off a garter. Written UNDER the garter is a discount or the name of a prize.
