CPR Promotional Check-Up - Jun 20, 2019
June 20, 2019
Have an opinion? Add your comment below. When a helicopter client offers you use of one, the answer is always 'yes'! We decided it'd be fun to drop numbered golf balls from a helicopter from a few hundred feet. (We happen to have a restaurant client that has a big open grass field next door) The numbered balls were awarded on air over the course of two weeks, which allowed plenty of time to not only promote the event, but also to give our sponsors a fair amount of mentions as well. The day of the event, you make sure you have plenty of stuff to do while people wait for the actual dropping of the balls. And most importantly, plenty of video of the event from every angle possible. It's makes it not only fun to watch later, but also has value for selling into it year after year

Many of you will have outdoor shows this summer and unlike the strictly controlled and enforced arena shows with pages and pages of "Do NOT"s, there's often a little bit more playing room with what you do.
What is arguably the best seat in baseball??? The pool in right field at Arizona Diamondbacks games.
What if you were to stick a hot tub on the side of the stage or an above ground pool down front? THAT would be fun and very Summer like.Outstanding, Old School, No I's Or Apps Summer Marketing
Having a vehicle specific to the season is a bonus. Like 'OMC and their ode to the Griswolds.
Kiss in Dallas has commandeered an ice cream truck and on uber hot days has gone out and just unloaded product on the masses. My first 4th in this job I was at the station in Jacksonville and we just cruised the boardwalk handing out cold sodas. The temp was approximately 18,000 degrees so this was well received.
BEN-FM in Philly started the summer with their truck hitting any/everywhere this three day weekend. Again, it's possible to overthink prizing. Listeners could go to the site and request a driveby.
Mix in KC used to do Popsicle Drops and bring frozen treats to seasonal workers like landscapers and road workers. Rock 97 in Buffalo used to give out shirts for these poor sweltering people to wear while tarring potholes and it was GREAT signage for the traffic creeping past. Jamz in Birmingham has done Heat Beaters with water and soda to this segment of the audience.
Just done as Water Drops at Hot in Knoxville
Great Moments In Summer Monikers
The "No Bummer Summer" at Y-94 in Fargo.
Great Moments In Alternative Names For "Photo Gallery"
"The Z-102.9 Scrapbook" from the aforementioned Z-102.9 in Cedar Rapids.
