Cuz That's How We Roll
A former KSFM/Sacramento "person" put on a massive yacht event for her company in San Diego on Saturday night. A big three-levels-of-fun dealie that had a superhero photo booth, dancing, all of the stuff you would expect from a swanky soiree for clients....and a cigar rolling demonstration. You would watch, and then with assistance, pick out your paper, your tobacco and start to roll. You could then enjoy one of your finished cigars on the aft deck.
What a brilliant hook for your next outdoor event.
Construction Worker Wednesday
97 Rock in Buffalo has a long history of going out and feeding and rehydrating people who work outside in the summer. This is the latest incarnation: free breakfasts to work crews on Wednesdays. http://www.97rock.com/2015/04/14/construction/
If You Can Dodge A Wrench, You Can Dodge A Ball
It's been a few years since I've seen a station do a charity dodgeball tourney. This is done by JACK-FM in London, Ontario. What a great concept and it's something that could be used to engage at-work listeners and their work places too. One of the stations did it with charities winning money for their causes. https://www.jack1023.com/events/dodgeball-tournament/
One Note Wonders
This has always been a great contest methodology for stations with big playlists of songs that are immediately recognizable on the first beat. 94.5 Bay-FM in San Jose is doing it with Santana tickets. https://www.945bayfm.com/contests/name-that-note-santana/
Trips On A Tankful
"Staycations" were a great promotion during the very exciting Summer of 2009 when people were too economically cautious to drop a lot on a family flyaway to Disney. And then some markets, like Albuquerque, have a lot of destinations just a short drive away. http://www.kobfm.com/2019/06/05/trips-on-a-tankful-2019-2/
