Branded Beers
Before there were microbrews it was pretty difficult to do things like having your own station beer. But when I was just an intern at KGON in Portland (the station was a monster: #1 in Oregon and the #1 Rock station in the country based on AQH for that year), they did Brew 92. Six packs of this stuff were done by American Brewing across the river in Vancouver, Washington and available at Plaid Pantries. Something like 9.2 cents from each sixxer that was sold went to a scholarship fund to put one of our white trash listeners through broadcasting school.

Fairs
Some of these things can be moderately massive and the tickets are great prizes. An iHeart station somewhere is going to be doing some back-to-back weekends of tickets to their regional event:
- Family Five Packs. Because how many families only have four members? Who gets stuck with picking who has to wait in the car?
- A Fair Weekend. Some of our weekends have been great. Some have been really great but we should warn you that this weekend is just fair.
- And then PWW#1. People Watching Weekend. They'll save it for other things like monster truck shows. "Daddy, what's that?" "That's a 'fanny pack' honey."
Disney
You can never EVER under-estimate the value of a family trip to a Disney resort. I think you should stick it in the VIP Club or do click-and-register.
But, there are two other options.
The CHR in Minneapolis prior to Christmas 2002 did a giant board game competition in the center court of a mall. 101 families in an elimination event using "no skill required" retro games like Candyland and Chutes & Ladders. Last family standing went to Orlando. The Disney rep told the Marketing Director that it was the best radio station promotion he'd seen nationally for several years.
Fast forward to a couple of years ago and Hot 104.5 in Knoxville did Disney In Ice. A plastic mouse frozen in a block of ice, put under a heat lamp and webcammed. The audience had to guess how long before it melted out and fell to the floor. Again, the Disney person loved it, said that it was WAY better than the "like us on Facebook" contests stations were doing and shared it with all her reps.
