Seize The Carp
Promotions is often about the mastery of seizing the moment and jumping on a story. Like when Twinkies were allegedly going away. Hot in Knoxville went and for about $50 bought a ton before the shelves were emptied and built one of their most creative weekend themes around it. Or when Hot in Norfolk sent a van to a convenience store in West Virginia to get, literally, the last Patti Labelle Sweet Potato Pies in the southeast. It was like they were giving away $100 bills on the air.
White Claw is running out and Millennials are freaking out. https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/06/business/white-claw-shortage-trnd/index.html?fbclid=IwAR0O5Wi8Topxl1JEulkT0RfQzrh6TjQdXk3htCMUAFdt9QXwS1mD3Xiz7ec
You could do a video on how to MacGyver your own brew. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WUHlrtPs0I
If liquor laws and your legal team approve, you could do a Claw And Order Weekend and deliver some to parties and bashes.
You could do this but better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujQEcmvfG44
Or have the parents of the morning show try it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xajPX2_bfQY
Promotional Slots
When I was a Freshman in college one of the women at the campus station had a dad who was a muckety muck at the Hacienda in Las Vegas, so when my idiot roommate and I decided to go there for two nights, she insisted we stop and get a tour. He was actually really courteous and walked us around the floor and explained the Psychology of Las Vegas: BF Skinner + Sensory Overload + (this was my favorite) Insulation From Reality. He said, and I quote, "People love the slots. Just look at these mooks." He sounded just like Garry Marshall in "Lost In America."
A couple of the stations have used slots on-site as their game at remotes or big events. Wired in Philly had some kind of foreign made slot and KUBE in Seattle had a slot they had sponsored by Coke and they changed all the images on the reels to the airstaff, plus Coke and some other clients.
There are a few companies that sell promo slots.
Odds On Promotions will do insured contests with one of their machines. https://www.oddsonpromotions.com/miscellaneous/prize-slot

Sidewalk Chalk
This came up in an email stream over the weekend.
With venues like concert arenas and sports stadiums there will always be policies about signage on site, but I've never seen a station get spanked for chalking the walking routes from parking garages and remote lots all the way to venue. With a couple of promo teamers and spray chalk, you can do a lot in a couple of hours.
