Phone Juice
Jason Howard at The River in Albany may have stumbled on something when a listener shared this note that was stuck on their door. https://995theriver.iheart.com/featured/river-morning-show/content/2019-12-03-my-neighbor-had-this-on-his-door-today/?fbclid=IwAR28tdpGkdiKrmoZGNOfpZWTcIpplEHCQ_Ba73b0LVzdr_6JhXM_x1bkc2M
The Wheel...Of...HOLIDAY DEBT! (Peppy Upbeat Music)
Pay Your Bills is coming back at a lot of stations in the coming weeks. Editorial comment: Bills used to be this great, vibing contest. Now it's just kind of meaningless wall paper. It's like sticking "Second Chance Prom" on a club gig.
DJ: What's your name?
Paige: Paige.
DJ: Congrats! You won a thousand dollars.
Paige: Cool.First, here is a ton of imaging. https://soundcloud.com/cprpromo/sets/pay-your-bills
Second, if you asked Monty Hall to do something with paying bills, it would involve a flash grenade and a wood chipper. ("Destroy Your Debt"?)
How about having people submit their bills, you put items on a prize wheel like $398 at The Yarn Barn, $762 from American Airlines, $678 car payment and spin the wheel. That's what you're paying off or writing a check for.
Mobile In The Zeitgeist
I was having this discussion with Tommy Carozza at Beasley in Tampa about how Radio has really fallen off in terms of doing things like parodying songs or trends or challenges, or even just jumping all over a story like a sports team and doing something creative with it. But there are exceptions.

He pointed out that Baby Yoda has been memed 100,000 ways but Radio has missed it.
Ryan Reynolds refers to capturing the moment in these trends refers to it as being "mobile in the zeitgeist." Like his Peloton parody. Jumping on stuff while its around for 3 minutes should be on your To Do list for 2020. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2t7lknrK28
