Grad Songs
Since the dawn of humanity and a time when cavemen stumbled out into the sun and shrank back in fear (I had a really bad night of sleep), taking listeners comments and laying them in over songs to become “tributes” has been a homerun. You just need the right tune. And while you think about that, here is the GED Song by Dave Ryan.
Virtual Backgrounds
Virtual meetings are going to be with us for awhile. One of my favorite label reps has been dressing up for every one of her meetings
Burger King was the first entity to incentivize people using their marquees as backgrounds in virtual meetings and now it’s been picked up by Beasley in a few markets and JACK in Vancouver.
Virtual Fitness
Nat with Q-102 in Cincy has been having friends and fitness peeps in for workout sessions from her home. Facebook videos don’t auto-generate images, so I’m going with this.
(Market) Back Roads
People are finding opportunities to get out and explore their hometowns and, well, get out of the house. Since March I’ve been doing Saturday day trips with my kids to places within an hour or two of here, and have been tipped by friends to really cool parks and trails that I never knew existed.
Bay Area Backroads was an extremely popular TV feature in San Francisco and highlighted all of these little places off the beaten track that people might not have known about. It has real potential as something for your airstaff to do as people look for “safe” things to do this summer.
Birthday Care-A-Van
Here’s a new and very cool promotion that Hot in Knoxville is doing where they go out and do driveby birthday greetings for people that the audience has tipped them to.
Flip This Yard
This is going to be a “summer of projects”. One of the clusters is working to trade out giftcards from gardening centers and hardware stores for contesting.
The next level of that would be to send a family away for a weekend at a resort and then have a yard service come in and thatch, mulch, sod, plant and transplant. Return them for the big reveal.
