For The Coffee Clients

One of the stations had a promotional request/demand from a coffee place that is gearing up for people to start returning to workplaces.

Coffee mugs found in office cubicles are kind of like keychains: they often have some kind of significance to the person. It was their dad’s. They won it bowling. They got it on their honeymoon. So what if you throw a bone to the mid-day audience and have people post theirs for a gift card from the client?

411 Pain

One of the stations is working on an insurance, lawyer referral client and the PD had some great ideas to bring to them and I also added a few.

First, if you haven’t done “What’chu Doing At The Courthouse?”, you haven’t lived.

At some point everyone has hurt themselves. My friend Kent has the xray of a nail from a nailgun thathe embedded in his ankle in 1995. Me? This is me getting loaded into a ambulance after a workplace snafu at Wild in SFO. What if you did Scar Wars as a gallery?

Also, even a minor slip-and-twist-your-ankle can be expensive, so one of the CHR’s had the kind of oafish Producer come in on Monday and when they asked “How was your weekend?” he would explain about how he’d gone to the store, a shopping cart wheel fell off, he stumbled, hurtled over the cart into the shelf of jarred pickles, they fell over….and they always had the “Ohhhhh….noooooooo…..” slow mo SFX added to the tail. He talked about the ambulance, the oxygen (he got lightheaded when he saw all the smashed pickles)(he loves pickles), the stitches, the pain meds, etc. Guess the total cost of his mishap and ER visit to win whatever swag they had available that week.

Red, White & Brew

One of the stations has a liquor distributer that is requesting something for July. A lot of stations have done “Show Us Your Meat” for the 4th: Instagram or Facebook your barbecue. If people are going to be taking photos at their pool or on their boat of them and their friends holding up their beers, then they should be posting to you also.
