Fun With Duct Tape™
There is a press universal that if you stick a DJ on a billboard you will:
- Get press. Always. Never fails.
- Whatever you’re collecting will be in higher numbers than if you’d just sat in the studio and begged for donations.
Now…duct tape someone to a billboard and you’ll get 220,000 people on Facebook Live watching it.
The kinder, simpler version is was Sunny at KVOO in Tulsa did with Product Testing Tuesday when her cohost stuck her to the side of the building.
I’m just saying that one morning, you’re bored, you have some tape….
Quaran-Time
I’ve seen (it feels like) a hundred “So, what have you learned or picked up since you’ve been at home?” posts on social media.
And it’s true. It seems that most people have started a hobby or tried to teach themselves something. Me? Cooking. My fish and chips were sublime.
So what could you do in the coming months to share in the experience of “learning” new things or picking up old hobbies?
The staff at Q-102 in Cincy is sharing their new-found cooking skills.
Tim at Q is sharing his home remodeling projects.
Both of these are things that could be facilitated and “taught” by clients.
What else are people learning that you could create a platform for an bring in an “instructor”?
Painting.
Crafts.
Dancing.
Home brewing.
Languages. When it’s safe, a LOT of international travel is going to get rescheduled.
Mixology, as in, “home bartending”
But teaching someone how to mix wouldn’t suck either.
Fishing.
Carpentry.
Scrapbooking.
Wine tasting.
Web design.
If people are going to have a lot of free time, let’s help them fill it.
