Because Shock Collars Are Funny
A couple of years ago I did a presentation in the UK with a shock collar. It was very PPM friendly. If I ran longer than 60 seconds with an idea, a lady from the BBC zapped me.
Scott Sands for some reason was wearing one during this interview with the Governor of Ohio. #thingsyoudontwanttoknow
The “Stuff” You Don’t Normally Get With Group Contests
Kiss 102.3 in Albany is doing “Win $1000 In Pumpkin Spice Lattes…or the cash equivalent” and it appears to be cutting through all of the other messaging. Terry O’Donnell took the weekend off to go to camp (“gymnastics” is assumed) ---- When I was up at camp I had about 4 people ask me about it – that just doesn’t happen with the usual cash contest.
When Your Company Happens To Own A Huge Car Wash?
Well, you save Halloween for the local kids by turning it into a drive-thru haunted house complete with…wait for it…red and black foam. Thomas Dolby would say “Science!” This is very very exceptionally cool and will be promoted across all of the Sonoma Media Group brands.
Homes For Heroes
One of the clusters was looking for something that could be their charitable focus for 2021, starting after the New Year. This campaign from Stingray in Edmonton is something that you should take some time to look at.
Hump Day Holiday
For the Benztown webinar a few weeks ago, the question was, “What do we know has worked during COVID?”
One of the things we saw this summer was that stations that did weekend getaways nearby like within a couple of hours driving, hit homeruns. People just want to get OUT OF THE HOUSE but without having to get on a plane or go too far. “Far” = “Scary”. 103.7 The Q in Birmingham has been awarding weekends in Panama City with contesting on Wednesdays.
And More Costume Contesting
From the oft-mentioned and always-cool KS95 in the Twin Cities.
