Who knew that there was a dedicated phone line going on it’s 10th year, where you can call and be prompted by a British-accented computer voice to pick a Hall & Oates song to listen to. 719-266-2837.
Spot-Eating Dogs
One of the stations is about to launch a commercial free music feature, which no one has done before. And so that it doesn’t get lost in all of the other commercial-free music features, the talent who will be the host is going to adopt a dog that rhymes with the brand and every day the dog will eat the commercials.
Shots
As I predicted 6 weeks ago, now that people are getting vaccinated, they’re making that their status on social media. I also correctly predicted in 1994 that Sam and Clarissa on “Clarissa Explains It All” would remain platonic friends, so I’m 2-4000.
Shot glasses as swag are great. They’re inexpensive, people will use them and will leave them out on places like their desk at work. That’s good. I do shot glasses every year for my classes annual drinking night at a joint called Bunnys. People love them.
So, what if you were to do branded glasses, sponsored by a client and available at their locations. Come by, show proof of your vaccination and get a second shot(glass)?
Girl Scout Cookies
They’re rolling out at different times and the kids/parents have been told that they can do a booth OR virtual. It’s up to them.
Some kids and their parents get pretty creative with selling stuff. I saw a kid who was maybe 8 dressed up as a mouse selling cheese for his charity outside of a grocery store last Fall. That was creative.
You have a big voice and some platforms. Have the girls pitch their plans and pick a couple to throw your weight behind.
