Something For The Morning Show
Brad Michaels with 99.1 HITS-FM is looking for someone who can do dream interpretation on his show. Back in the day one of the talent at WLOL had learned hand writing analysis when he was in the military and it was a ball to work at festivals with him. When people would fill out entry forms and drop them in a box, he’d quick retrieve them after they’d walked away and do a quick “read” on it: “This person’s whole life is built on lies” or “She suffers from serious insecurity, bad self esteem and has an addictive personality.” (I ended up dating that one.)
So…if you could get someone who does this, have listeners email or message in samples from their boss or their new love interest or their roommate or some guy who just started dating their daughter. Obviously we never ever say names on the air but I bet you blow out your In Box.
Give First Responders A Hand
I was trading messages about “High Five For A PS5” yesterday and “Give Troops A Hand” popped into my head. WIOG in Saginaw and Magic in Colorado Springs did this after the post-9/11 invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan when “support the troops” spirit was at a peak.
They had people come to an event, press their hands in paint and apply them to a tarp that was turned into outdoor.
If you HAD access to outdoor, doing that for frontline workers would be outstanding.
Or, have people trace their hand, sign their name, message it to the station and do it virtually as a sign of giving thanks to the medical, fire and law enforcement community for helping to hold it all together. And create a wall of these on your platforms.
Budweiser
As you have undoubtedly seen they are not advertising during the Super Game and will instead be directing that money to various COVID issues.
Could you dovetail on that and go commercial free during the game and instead turn those slots into space for PSA’s for all of the local charities, agencies and other groups that have been helping out the past 11 months? Food banks, school resources, medical organizations and everyone else who has helped and still requires lots and lots of support.
