Plans are most definitely firming up.

From John & Tammy at KSON in San Diego - Our biggest focus for the week is encouraging listeners to do something good for the community in honor of the anniversary. We are going to highlight a couple of organizations that need volunteers that week. For example, Tuesday night we are going to get 5-10 listeners to help feed the homeless here in San Diego. It will culminate at the end of the week where we will send KSON listeners to volunteer with USO San Diego at an event for service members and their families.

From Danny Wright at The River in Santa Rosa :

We’re actually doing a charity event this afternoon to raise money for a local veteran’s organization at a local brewery. Next Friday 9/10 I was going to “present” the money to them on my show and remind people how they can help, especially as we remember 9/11, twenty years later.

From one of the Beasley stations:

(PD) will be doing a special Saturday morning show, we will also include American songs that honor the day, with sweepers remembering those we lost.

From Carlos at 99.7 NOW-FM in San Francisco: We will acknowledge & pay tribute to 09/11 via jock mentions, sweepers, promos & air listener comments. Social as well.

Cumulus Media in Tucson is pushing info on an annual “climb” that is done in the market and will be hosting a Healing Field with flags representing everyone who was lost. Tucson Stair Climb Challenge — 911 Tower Challenge Foundation
